This tool has been designed as an Add-In for Microsoft Office
Word (document processing), Excel (spreadsheet), and PowerPoint
(presentation) applications (Office 2007 / 2003 / XP version) to
enable the opening and saving of ODF files (.odt, .ods and .odp)
that adhere to Open Document Format specifications. The project
also includes a command line translator utility that allows batch
conversions. The transformation engine incorporated in this
translator has been engineered as a loosely coupled component to
allow for ease of decoupling and integration into domain specific
applications.
